For the latest poker tournament campaign for Winamax, we collaborated with the talented team at Soixante Seize to bring a bold and entirely new creative direction to life. After years of CGI-driven animations, this project embraced a completely fresh approach: an animated collage, blending raw textures, illustrations, and chaotic punk-inspired energy.

This exciting shift was championed by Soixante Seize, who convinced their client to take a bold and transgressive step with this campaign concept. We were thrilled by their vision and excited to explore new creative possibilities to deliver on it.

The campaign centered around the concept of teamwork, representing the tournament’s five-player teams with dynamic illustrated arms, each brought to life through bold visuals and intricate compositions. The artistic direction combined the DIY aesthetic of punk posters with complex, layered textures, creating a style that’s both vibrant and deliberately messy.

Key to this transformation was the collaboration with illustrator Harry Villamil, whose hand-drawn elements became the foundation of the project. We enhanced these illustrations with AI-generated visuals, creating intricate and unpredictable compositions. Cinema 4D added another layer of complexity, allowing us to incorporate simulations that we later refined with a gritty, handmade look in After Effects.

This project pushed us to explore new territories by integrating a heavy focus on illustration into our expertise in collage and animation. The result was a campaign that stood out for its chaotic yet captivating visual style, perfectly reflecting the excitement and energy of the tournament.
