For the SANA ART festival in Doha, we collaborated with Indissoluble (who handled spatial design and construction) to create the audiovisual content and interactive experience for Deep of the Sea, an immersive installation inspired by Qatar’s pearl-diving heritage.

Mirrors on every surface — walls, floor and ceiling — extend the projection-mapped visuals into a full 360° environment. Reflective sculptures fracture and scatter light across the room, giving the space an atmosphere that feels alive rather than designed. The floor was covered in sand — a detail that grounded the experience physically, and became one of its most memorable elements for the children who visited.

All visual content was developed in Notch, built to react and breathe like a living seabed. The interactive layer, developed with TouchDesigner and motion sensors, invited children to reach into the projected water and search for pearls — a direct reference to Qatar’s pearl-diving tradition. Simple as an idea. Precise to execute.

Deep of the Sea was part of a larger experience developed for Qatar National Day, connecting younger audiences with the country’s cultural heritage through play, projection, and space.
