We created a high-speed, cinematic flight experience that blends real-world geodata with stylized CGI worlds — merging Unreal Engine and Cesium to deliver a breathtaking spot
Chevy Chase
In collaboration with our friends at Aggressive, we developed a high-speed, cinematic flight experience for Chevy Chase Fund Trust, taking viewers on a journey across hyper-detailed CGI landscapes — from vast natural terrains to dense industrial zones and futuristic cityscapes.
The concept placed the viewer in the POV of a supersonic aircraft, flying just meters above ground at impossible speeds. To achieve this sensation of scale and motion, we combined Unreal Engine with Cesium, creating a hybrid pipeline where fictional worlds met real-world geodata.
Some environments were crafted from scratch in Unreal, focusing on stylized design, light and atmosphere, while others leveraged Cesium’s 3D tiles to bring recognizable, real-world locations to life. This allowed us to blend narrative freedom with geographical accuracy, generating a seamless flight path through a wide range of environments.
Beyond the technical setup, our focus was on building a visual rhythm: contrasting open nature with dense cities, light with shadow, speed with stillness, always reinforcing the immersive and almost visceral sensation of flying just above the surface.
This project is a great example of how creative direction, real-time rendering and geospatial data can come together to build powerful visual storytelling.
