The sea has always been a mirror—reflecting our past, shaping our myths, whispering of worlds unknown. But what if it could also reveal our future?
At the heart of the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco, visitors can now discover a unique immersive experience that transports them into the Mediterranean of 2050—a vast, luminous ocean teeming with life, shaped by the choices we make today.
Imagined, designed, and produced by Artisans d’idées, the experience unfolds within a spectacular scenography that reimagines the museum as the interior of a futuristic submarine. Its classical windows become portholes onto a world in transformation.
This project is the result of a close collaboration between the museum’s brilliant team and experts, the creative minds at Artisans d’idées, and our studio, Tigrelab, as creators and directors of the immersive content. Built entirely in Unreal Engine, the journey takes the form of a continuous 16-minute sequence shot, projected across 310 square meters and 26 windows. Every ripple, every coral bloom, every passing whale was crafted hand in hand with marine scientists and biologists—to spark emotion and bring attention to the delicate realities of our oceans.
More than an odyssey, this is a collective dream come to life—an invitation to see, to feel, and to imagine a future where preservation and possibility move together like the tide.
